How I Found My Apartment in Japan (2023)
Hello, this is a blog where I share my personal life. I do not usually write about my personal life but I would like to experiment and see if people would be interested in reading about my life experiences. So, I hope this piece finds its readers and I hope you enjoy reading it.
Background
To better understand what my reasoning is, let me introduce a little of my background. Long story short, I moved to Japan to work as a Software Engineer from Korea, where I graduated from university in the same year I moved. You might think the two countries are similar but, talking from my experience, the differences are numerous.
How much does it cost to rent an apartment in Japan?
Are Japanese apartments really as small and expensive as they are reputed to be? Let’s take a closer look at the average rent for an apartment. I would say, on average, the rent in Tokyo is higher than the rent in Seoul.
